Relying on an autopilot device, this option enables the bridge crew to have the vessel automatically steer along the route designated as active in ECPINS.
The vessel maintains the route through the plotted turns to the route’s final waypoint. The ECPINS operator is able to monitor the vessel’s DTG and TTG, cross-track deviation, waypoint and destination ETAs. Configuration options include: maximum ROT (deg/min), minimum speed, maximum heading deviation, and course change confirmation time.
