Key Responsibilities

  • Develop system designs, perform functional analysis, define systems architecture, define interfaces and specification, perform trade-studies and document the design by writing SSDD, ICDs, SRS
  • Perform requirement analysis, traceability and maintenance of requirements
  • Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system
  • Identify, analyze and resolve program support deficiencies
  • Develop and recommends corrective actions
  • Design to government standards, including Military and IMO standards, ensuring ongoing compliance and adherence to requirements
  • Ensure availability, reliability and other logistics support considerations are part of the system design process
  • Review obsolescence issues and recommends design changes
  • Attend and participate in customer design reviews and acceptance events
  • May participate in system integration tests, trials, and acceptance tests at customer facilities
  • Write acceptance test procedures
  • Manags scope of work, schedules work, estimates effort and costs, and identifies technical risks; effectively communicates status on a regular basis to management
