Vancouver, BC — OSI Maritime Systems (OSI), a global leader in advanced naval navigation and integrated bridge systems, is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the Integrated Navigation and Bridge System (INBS) for the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship (AOPS) variant – Ship Set 8.

The successful FAT for Ship Set 8 represents another key step in delivering mission‑ready capability that supports Canada’s maritime safety, sovereignty, and Arctic operations.

OSI’s Coast Guard Integrated Navigation and Bridge System (CG INBS) is a purpose‑built variant of the company’s globally recognized naval navigation solutions. The system leverages mature, proven technologies—such as ice navigation, search and rescue, and advanced situational awareness—and tailors them to the unique operational requirements of coast guard missions.

With this milestone, OSI also concludes a significant chapter in the AOPS program. The original AOPS IBS project began in 2013, and all six AOPS vessels for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) are now in service. The first Coast Guard variant (Ship Set 7) is scheduled to proceed through setting‑to‑work activities and subsequent sea trials later this year.

In addition to AOPS, the program builds on its proven delivery of integrated bridge systems for Canada’s most significant naval platforms, including Joint Support Ship and River-class Destroyer programs.

This project reinforces OSI’s role as a trusted Canadian defence and marine systems supplier, directly supporting the objectives of the Defence Industrial Strategy (DIS) by strengthening domestic industrial capability, sustaining highly skilled jobs, and ensuring Canada maintains sovereign control over critical maritime technologies.
